A Look Back at Our Animal Robotics Workshop at the Horniman Museum
On 27 May 2025, Matris Robotic had the pleasure of hosting one of its most engaging events in a truly inspiring setting: the Horniman Museum in London. Titled Animal Workshop, this unique session was designed not just for children, but for families to learn, build, and create together.
At Matris Robotic, we believe in the power of collaborative learning. This time, instead of parents simply observing, we invited them to step into the creative process alongside their children — designing and building robots inspired by the fascinating world of animals.
Throughout the day, families explored the mechanics and movements of creatures big and small, then brought their ideas to life by building imaginative animal-inspired robots. From brainstorming and sketching to wiring and assembling, it was a hands-on journey shared between generations.
Our goal extended far beyond teaching technical skills. We aimed to:
Strengthen the parent-child connection through teamwork
Spark curiosity and creativity in a supportive environment
Turn learning into a joyful, hands-on experience
The energy in the room was electric: parents listening closely, kids asking bold questions, and both working side by side to build something entirely their own. These were moments of discovery, of laughter, and of deep connection — the kind that become lasting memories.
By the end of the day, every participant left not just with a robot, but with a shared experience that celebrated creativity, learning, and the joy of building something together.
At Matris Robotic, we continuously design events that transform learning into engaging, family-oriented, and inspiring experiences.
