AI & Coding – Building the Foundations
Our AI & Coding course introduces children to the fundamental concepts of programming, Artificial Intelligence and engineering through engaging, hands-on lessons.
Students begin by exploring electronics and engineering using Tinkercad, where they can design virtual circuits, experiment with components and simulate smart systems in a safe environment. They then progress to block-based programming and learn how sensors, electronic components and smart devices can be programmed to sense, respond and interact with their environment.
The course develops computational thinking, creativity, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills, while giving children practical experience of coding and AI.
Designed for young learners from around age 7, the course provides a structured introduction to the world of AI, coding and smart technology.
Course format: Live online | Small classes | 60 minutes weekly | 12 lessons per term | Project-based assessment | Monthly payment, cancel anytime.
Functional AI – From Code to Smart Systems
Once students have developed a strong foundation in AI, coding, electronics and engineering, they can progress to our Functional AI course.
Students learn how to create functional, applied and smart systems using Python as the core programming language. They work with microcontrollers, sensors, motors and electronic components to design systems that can interact with and respond to the world around them.
The course is strongly project-based, with each lesson centred around practical projects that connect programming and AI with real-world applications. Students develop their ability to combine software and hardware while gaining a deeper understanding of how intelligent systems are designed.
Prerequisite: Students should have completed the Matris Robotic AI & Coding course or have equivalent knowledge.
AI & Game Design – Learn Coding Through Creativity
Our AI & Game Design course transforms children’s interest in games into practical skills in coding, creativity and technology.
Starting from around age 7, students work individually or in very small online classes to create games, animations, digital art and interactive projects based on their own interests. Students can explore platforms such as Scratch, Python, Roblox, Minecraft and Microsoft MakeCode, progressing from visual programming towards more advanced coding.
By building games rather than simply playing them, children learn important programming concepts such as logic, variables, loops and debugging. They also discover that mistakes are a natural and valuable part of the development process.
The course combines fun and education while helping students build confidence, creativity, computational thinking and problem-solving skills.
Online AI & Game Design – Basic: £90 per month
