Robotics for Kids: Turning Ideas Into Moving Creations
At Matris Robotic, we empower children to transform their imagination into reality through robotics for kids, coding for children, and STEM education. This week, our after-school clubs, international online classes, and advanced workshops inspired young learners to combine creativity, coding, and robotics to bring their ideas to life. Explore how our programs spark innovation and problem-solving in 2025!
Weekly Highlights: Robotics for Kids in Action
-
Creative Robot Building: Kids used real motors to create functional robots, blending imagination with engineering.
-
CREST Award Projects: Students designed automatic doors and 3D prototypes for the CREST Awards competition.
-
Hands-On Learning: Lessons covered gearbox design, electronic fundamentals, and micro:bit programming.
-
Personalized Sessions: One-to-one classes focused on Ferris wheel robots and mixer robots.
-
Advanced Robotics: Learners coded IR sensors and dual-motor vehicles using micro:bit.
This Week’s Robotics and Coding Adventures
Monday: After-School Club – Creativity Meets Robotics for Kids
Our After-School Club kicked off with a Creativity Session, where children designed unique robots using motors. They explored mechanical motion through hands-on experimentation, fostering skills essential for STEM education. These activities encourage young engineers to think critically and innovate.
Tuesday: International Online Classes, Global STEM Learning
Three international online classes connected students worldwide:
-
Automatic Door Design: Learners engineered automatic doors, mastering sensors and motion mechanisms.
-
CREST Award 3D Prototyping: Using TinkerCAD, students created 3D designs for the CREST Awards, building a foundation for advanced projects.
-
Electronics Basics: This session introduced TinkerCAD electronics, teaching circuitry principles for robotics for kids.
Wednesday: Gearbox Design and Mixer Robots
In Wednesday’s After-School Club, students explored gearbox design, learning how gears control motion. They collaborated to build mixer robots, combining creativity with mechanical engineering. This hands-on approach makes robotics for kids engaging and educational.
Personalized One-to-One Robotics Sessions
Our one-to-one sessions offered tailored learning. One student built a Ferris wheel robot, following structured instructions, while another constructed a mixer robot to understand electronics fundamentals and motion. These sessions cater to individual learning styles, making coding for children accessible and fun.
Thursday: Enhancing Mixer Robot Designs
Thursday’s club focused on refining mixer robot designs. Students experimented with motor placement and speed optimization, deepening their understanding of robotics for kids. These iterative projects teach perseverance and problem-solving, key skills in STEM education.
Friday: Advanced Robotics and Coding Workshops
Our Advanced Robotics Session introduced micro:bit programming for a humidity sensor and an IR-based target-tracking robot. In our Robotics & Coding Workshop, kids learned micro:bit coding and built racing car robots, exploring dual-motor mechanisms. These sessions inspire innovation and technical skills.
