Around the World with Robotics & Coding
This week, our learners once again explored creativity and technology through exciting projects in robotics and coding. From animal-inspired robots to music-making with code, every session provided an opportunity to innovate, design, and bring imagination to life.
Highlights of the Week
- Built a jumping frog robot, inspired by real-life animal movements.
- Completed the Snake game in Scratch, combining coding with play.
- Designed an airplane-inspired robot in our after-school clubs.
- Learned how to generate musical notes with Micro: bit programming.
- Constructed a cable elevator robot and a Formula 1 racing car.
Explored DC motor programming with our university students.
This Week at Matris Robotic
On Tuesday, we travelled the world again with our International Online Robotics & Coding Classes.
Learners built a creative frog robot with a jumping mechanism, showing how engineering can be inspired by nature. In another, students completed the Snake game in Scratch, celebrating both their problem-solving skills and their creativity.
Our After-School Robotics Clubs on Wednesday and Thursday took learners to new heights as they designed and built an airplane robot, practicing how to connect parts and motors. while learning the principles of balance and motion.
On Saturday, we combined robotics with the arts, as students programmed the Micro bit to play musical notes, transforming code into melody. At the same time, our workshops gave young engineers the challenge of building a cable elevator robot and a Formula 1 racing car, both full of excitement and hands-on engineering. Alongside this, in a special university session, one student explored how to program and set up a DC motor, taking the first steps toward more advanced robotics work.
Ready for Next Week’s Programs?
Here’s what we have planned for next week in our international online classes and after-school coding clubs:
- Monday: After-School Club.
- Tuesday: International Online Classes.
- Wednesday & Thursday: After School Clubs.
- Thursday: Special Robotics Workshop at Harris Academy, Battersea from 6–7 PM. (Message us to register before spots are filled!)
- Friday: At the British Library, two Robotics & Coding workshops: 10:30 AM–12:00 PM and 12:30 PM–2:00 PM, plus a university student session.
Another exciting week is ahead, and we can’t wait to see what our learners will create!
