Dr. Vahid Azimirad has been involved with teaching and research activities in the robotics field since 2005. He is a co-founder of Matris Robotic Academy. Much of his work has focused on developing mobile robots and artificial intelligence and he has more than 70 articles on robotics. He also has worked on medical robots and has a patent for developing physiotherapist robots.

Elnaz Zare

Elnaz Zare received her MSc. in Electrical and Electronic engineering in 2012. She Co-Founded Matris Robotic school for young people aged 5-16 and developed a new pedagogy for robotics and coding. She has had more than 9000 hours of teaching robotics and coding. Over 10000 students have joined Matris Robotic school during its 11 years. She joined the UCL Computer Science Department in 2023. Much of her work has focused on establishing new methods of teaching robotics and coding for school students. She is interested in unconventional, research–based teaching and novel methods in robotics and STEM for young people.
